Training Program

Hostel Facility/Lodging and Boarding/Music/Mess Facilities

Even though the talent of an ordinary child with eyes and a visually impaired child is similar, only due to lack of opportunities, double darkness falls in the life of visually impaired children. When the eyesight of Shri Omprakash Agrawal, the Secretary of the Institute, went away, he had to face many troubles, but he did not give up. Due to self-respect and positive thinking, he nurtured himself and his family by successfully working in Rajasthan State Road Transport Department. And despite being blind, he proved himself successful.

Blind and visually impaired children also have two paths in front of them, either they should give up life and sit helplessly at home or prove their abilities even without eyes. The second way is definitely difficult, but not impossible, that is to prove yourself successful, and become self-reliant.

There are many such examples in the world, in which in spite of any kind of physical disability, talented individuals set an example for themselves. There is a need to provide a platform to such persons, to create opportunities for them, so that their personality and skills can develop and they can become self-dependent.

The main objective of the Louis-Braille Blind Development Institute has been to make efforts to enable the visually impaired children by developing their skills and connecting them with the mainstream of the society. It is the effort of the institute that we can give all that to the visually impaired children, about which they cannot even imagine.

No child's talent should be tarnished just because of visual impairment. Keeping this in mind, residential skill training is being given to blind and visually impaired children in the institute campus itself for the last several years. Through this training, an attempt was made to train them in various disciplines.

The main objective of organizing these trainings is not only to develop the skills of such children but also to bring out their hidden talents. Through these training programs, the institute is trying to train the visually impaired children and make them equal to other ordinary children of the society.

After training, efforts are also made to provide employment to these children in government / non-government institutions.
